Church a graphic artist had purchased multiple copies of every title that hit the news stands since the dawn of comic books and kept them all meticulously stacked and stored for 30 years. The look, color, quality and feel of these books have been described by modern collectors as both uncanny and breathtaking. Today the Edgar Church collection is considered the greatest collection of comic books ever found and its monetary value extends into the millions.
